Hostels in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is undoubtedly one of the jewels of Europe, and not just because of the stunning 17th century canals. Its is an unusual city in that it has all the advantages of a big city – hostels, culture, history, food, entertainment, good transport – with relatively few of the disadvantages: it is physically small, beautiful, relatively quiet, and largely thanks to the canals, has relatively little traffic.
The best online Hostel service we have seen to date is Hostels in Amsterdam. Especially good is the ability to see a list of hostels with their pricing, best ratings, map and reviews. We recommend HostelWorld.com
Timing your visit
Any time can be the best time to visit Amsterdam. The peak of the tourist season is July and August, when the weather is the finest. Weather, however, is never really extreme at any time of year, and if you're one of the growing numbers who favor off-season travel, you'll find the city every bit as attractive during these months. Not only are airlines, hotels, hostels, and restaurants cheaper and less crowded during this time (with more relaxed and cheerful service), but there are also some very appealing events going on. For example, the bulb fields near Amsterdam are bursting with colour from mid-April to mid-May. The cultural season is in full swing between September and May in Amsterdam, along with The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and other nearby towns and cities.
After visiting Amsterdam, you can come and Trek the jungle of Africa with Gorillas Uganda, for amazing creatures such as Gorillas, chimpanzees, baboons, monkeys, cuts like lions, leopards, knitters, other animals include giraffes, elephants, zebras, buffalos to mention but a few.
